Kool Smiles Offers Free Toothbrushes and Education To Day Care Centers Affected By Massachusetts Initiative Supporting Children's Oral Care

Kool Smiles is offering free toothbrushes and educational support to day care centers affected by the recent state mandate that will require day care providers to help children brush their teeth after a meal. Kool Smiles currently provides a dental home for thousands of children and has eight offices in Massachusetts that will support the mandate by providing free toothbrushes and oral health education.

Kool Smiles strongly believes preventive and routine oral care is the best method to create a healthy mouth for a lifetime, said Kool Smiles Chief Dental Officer Dr. David Strange. We support this initiative by the state and want to do our part to assure the day care centers have the resources they need to make this program a success.

Kool Smiles provides a dental home for underserved communities in an effort to answer what the Surgeon General called one of the greatest unmet health needs in children: oral health. Dental caries (tooth decay) is the single most common childhood disease 5 times more common than asthma and 7 times more common than hay fever. With Kool Smiles, both children and parents are able to address these issues in a fun, accessible, family-friendly environment staffed with knowledgeable and compassionate dental experts.
