On Wednesday, several public health policy leaders joined the state´s leading dental experts and providers for a tour of the Kool Smiles dental office in Mechanicsville to talk about the importance of dental health.
Kool Smiles, one of the state´s leading providers of quality dental care for children and young adults, has played a large role in improving oral care in Virginia. Kool Smiles has treated thousands of Virginia´s children since 2005.
Providing smiles to the girls and boys of this area by providing them with preventive oral healthcare is as important as any other healthcare available in the commonwealth of Virginia, said Virginia Delegate Joe Morrissey (D-74th District).
Other notable attendees of the hour-long program included Assistant Secretaries for Health and Human Services Thomas Gates and Rachel Harms, and Cecilia Garner, Executive Assistant to the Senior Policy Advisor for Mayor Dwight C. Jones. We want to extend our gratitude for Kool Smiles committed and loyal service to the thousands upon thousands of the areas young children who without your support would not receive much needed dental care, Garner said.
Felecia Carter, a mother of three children, spoke to the group and said her family enjoyed the warmth of the Kool Smiles dentists and staff. My kids want to come to the dentist every day, Carter said.
