A good children’s dental office should prioritize making children feel comfortable. Part of doing that is having dentists who are experienced in working with kids, and creating a place where kids can be entertained while waiting for their exam.
At Kool Smiles, we offer both experienced dentists and kid-friendly environments for our patients.
Our brightly colored waiting rooms and children’s play areas allow patients to get used to the office before their appointment. Additionally, our dental professionals use a “tell, show, do” technique to ease any worries your child may have.
After your child’s dental exam, a dental professional will meet with you to discuss your child’s teeth and any other treatments, like fillings, that your child may need. We can offer you tips for teaching your child about good dental care and answer any questions you may have about your child’s teeth.
Along with our general dentistry services (exams, cleanings, and fillings), we also offer orthodontics, pediatrics, and wisdom teeth services at certain locations.
Many of our locations have orthodontists that can provide you and your child with a no-cost consultation for braces if recommended by your general dentist. View our list of Kool Smiles locations that offer orthodontics.
For more severe mouth problems, such as teeth development, a general dentist may recommend that your child see a pediatric dentist. After your child’s first appointment with a general dentist, we can let you know if seeing a pediatric specialist is necessary.
Wisdom teeth are the teeth in the back of your mouth that often come in during a child’s teens or early twenties (or sometimes not at all). Wisdom teeth can cause problems for surrounding teeth, so a dentist may recommend removing them if your child is experiencing problems.
Whether you have an infant ready for his or her first teeth exam, or a teenager in need of a braces consultation, Kool Smiles is available to help. Contact us to make an appointment for your kids at a location near you.
