Our Kool Smiles location offers these services:
At Kool Smiles, we’re proud to support the accessibility of affordable dental care for all families. As part of this effort, our offices are located in typically underserved areas where dentists are hard to find. We also accept most major insurance plans as well as Medicaid, TRICARE and others.
Finding exceptional dental care for your kids that’s affordable isn’t always easy. In fact, the average cost of a pediatric dental visit is $61.14. Finding a dentist who accepts Medicaid is even harder. At Kool Smiles, we welcome Medicaid patients no matter how many come through our doors.
Still, Kool Smiles believes that everyone should have access to the dental care they need at a young age. That’s why we offer our services at a low price and accept most insurances, including the following.
If you have Medicaid, you will want to know that treatment guidelines differ from state to state. Still, Kool Smiles can walk you through your options during a consultation, no matter what insurance plan you’re on.
In Georgia, Medicaid typically covers dental services like:
Medicaid covers all dental treatments that are deemed medically necessary, meaning that if, during a screening, the dentist discovers a condition that requires treatment, you’ll be covered for the necessary services, regardless of whether or not the service is included specifically in Georgia’s Medicaid plan.
If you have a different insurance plan or private insurance, talk to your provider to see what’s covered and what isn’t.
We understand that not every family has dental insurance or can pay out of pocket. If you are uninsured, ask us about our different payment options, including debit, credit and CareCredit.
Another way we provide your community with affordable care is by hosting an annual Sharing Smiles Day, during which children up to age 18 can receive free dental care in Decatur.
Kool Smiles loves to partner with local schools, day care centers and social service agencies to promote oral health education. If you are part of an organization that’s interested in promoting dental health, talk to a member of our staff. We love building relationships and getting involved with the community.
You can rest assured that each member of the Kool Smiles team has experience with children and strives to make them comfortable throughout their visit. When you enter our office, you are greeted by our helpful, friendly receptionists who can answer your questions. Dental and health checkups can be scary for many kids, which is why we make every effort to create a comfortable experience for your child. We even have an indoor play area for them to have fun in during a wait!
Your treatment will then be provided by one of our highly trained dentists or specialists in Decatur.
We explain the process or procedure to your child, even if it’s a simple cleaning. Our staff also teaches proper dental hygiene, so your child can have healthy teeth for years to come. Learning to practice the basic steps of dental care in their everyday life can also save you money in the long run. By fixing problems before they become serious, you can avoid having to pay for extensive and more costly treatments later on.
If you’re unsure if a certain procedure or dental service is covered by your insurance plan, don’t worry! At Kool Smiles, we can answer all your questions about paying for dental services and how Medicaid fits into your needs. Call us today at 254-781-0553 to get more information or schedule an appointment with us to get started.
