Going to the dentist is important, but treating your children at home is important too. If you want to keep your child’s oral health in order, you should take the right steps to care for their teeth and gums. Here’s what you can do to at home to maintain proper oral care:

  • Before your child has developed teeth, you can wipe down their gums to keep their mouth clean.
  • Use a soft-bristle toothbrush. To make it more fun, choose a colorful toothbrush.
  • When your children are younger than age 3, only use a pea-sized amount of toothpaste, twice per day, to clean their teeth.
