We understand how important it is to make our patients feel comfortable, and this is precisely why we’ve designed our clinic to be a welcome space for all children. Because we’ve established a comfortable relationship with them, treatment becomes easier and follow-up appointments will no longer be a problem.
We take time building a relationship with our patients, and that’s why they look forward to their dental visits! You won’t need to bribe your children anymore; they’ll gladly go back for their next appointment without fuss.
But it’s not just the kids we’re here for, our partners have you in mind as well. Here are some ways we help make dental visits practical:
We know how work or school days can be busy for you and your children, and that’s why we’re available for Saturday appointments, so you won’t need to miss work or other commitments to bring your kids to our dental office.
We are committed to providing each child with a healthy mouth and a great smile. This is why we do our best to accommodate parents and children to educate them about the importance of good oral hygiene and the need for quality dental care.
Our mission is to promote oral health for each child in the Newport News area. This is why we’ve joined the local community through Sharing Smiles Day and Operation Troop Treats. These are programs that bring dental care closer to children in the community.
Additionally, our clinic hosts Sharing Smiles Day every year. This is an event where your children can receive dental treatment at zero cost.
We know that children who do not have dental insurance are more likely to develop early dental caries. To prevent this, we started Sharing Smiles Day. This is an annual event wherein our dentists volunteer to provide dental treatment to uninsured children at zero cost. On this day, these kids can visit our clinic to receive services such as:
Sharing Smiles Day happens once a year only so we advise parents who want to partake in this event to plan and arrive early to avoid the long queue. All uninsured patients under the age of 18 can have access to treatment at no charge.
Sweets and improper brushing techniques are the culprits for dental caries, especially in young children. We’ve spearheaded Operation Troop Treats to educate children about proper oral hygiene practices and limiting sugar consumption.
Here, children can donate their Halloween candy in exchange for a toy. Less sugar, fewer cavities! Volunteers from Operation Gratitude pack the donated candy with other items such as toothbrushes, floss, and toothpaste to create a dental care package to send to our U.S. troops overseas.
Here is some information if you want your child to participate in Operation Troop Treats:
You can contact our dental office if you want to learn more about Sharing Smiles Day or the Operations Troop Treats program.
