To celebrate National Children's Dental Health Month, Kool Smiles is offering free downloads of dental health lesson plans for grades kindergarten through fifth, as well as an eight page activity booklet!

In this lesson plan, students will be asked: “What is a dentist?” and “How do we keep our teeth healthy?”, becoming familiar with routine checkups and understanding basic dental hygiene practices to maintain a healthy mouth. Students can share dental visit stories, and teachers can take this opportunity to share one of your own positive dental visits. Other topics to discuss are: what to expect at the dentist, healthy vs. unhealthy foods, and good oral hygiene habits.
